User Interface Developer
|
BizLand is seeking a versatile UI expert, capable of designing interfaces and translating them into front-end, standards-friendly code. If you're a talented individual that loves UI, we have an opportunity for you!
- Design and develop rich user interfaces for web applications.
- Help develop interface guidelines based on research and best practices
- Work with a team of web developers and designers in a fast-paced environment to create a consistent user experience
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with project teams to create interfaces based on user feedback and best practices
- Design wireframes of proposed applications or redesigns.
- Create static and dynamic prototypes that demonstrate how the application looks and flows.
- Construct application pages based on UI guidelines to ensure pages are standards compliant, universally accessible, and cross-browser compatible.
- Develop and maintain interface library for re-useable UI elements
- Perform usability research and analysis.
Required skills
- Portfolio of previous interface work
- Expert hand-coding ability in XHTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Solid design skills, utilizing Adobe Photoshop
- Experience with JavaScript libraries such as YUI and jQuery
- Knowledge of Perl, Mason or XSLT a plus
- 5+ years of experience designing UI solutions for web applications preferred
